Melacare Forte Cream 25g ( Hydroquinone 4% +Tretinoin 0.025% + Mometasone Furoate 0.1%

Melacare Forte Cream contains the following active ingredients:

1. Hydroquinone (4%) – A skin-lightening agent that reduces melanin production to treat hyperpigmentation.

2. Tretinoin (0.0.25%)A retinoid that promotes skin cell turnover, improving skin texture and tone.

3. Mometasone Furoate (0.1%) – A corticosteroid that helps reduce inflammation, redness, and irritation.

Melacare Forte  is FDA-approved for the short-term treatment of moderate to severe melasma on the face, with a recommended usage duration of up to 8 weeks.  Prolonged use beyond this period is not advised due to potential side effects, including skin thinning and irritation, primarily from its corticosteroid component.

Uses:

• Melasma (dark patches caused by sun exposure, hormones, or genetics)

• Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) (dark spots after acne, injury, or eczema)

• Dark spots and uneven skin tone

How to Use:

• Apply a thin layer at night on clean, dry skin (or as directed by a doctor).

• Always use sunscreen (SPF 30+ or higher) during the day to prevent pigmentation from worsening.

• Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and broken skin.

Possible Side Effects:

• Skin irritation, redness, peeling, or dryness

• Increased sun sensitivity

• Long-term use may lead to skin thinning, steroid-induced acne, or rebound pigmentation

Precautions:

• Not for long-term use

• Avoid if pregnant or breastfeeding unless advised by a doctor.
